Pre-quote validation

Modeled irradiance is a number. Measured irradiance is a record you can hand the customer. The difference between the two is often a string or two of panels — exactly the spread between a profitable install and a callback.

Post-install validation

When actual production lags the design estimate, the customer wants to know why. Was it the inverter? Was it shading you didn't model? A logged irradiance record turns a finger-pointing conversation into a measurement.

Place a Yotta on the proposed mounting plane for 5 – 7 days. Compare measured kWh/m² to the modeled value. Adjust the design — or the price — before you commit.

Production gap audit

Install an Irradiance Array at four points across the array. When monthly production falls short, you can show whether the cause was below-modeled sun, equipment, or shading from the new HVAC unit they installed last quarter.

Multi-site comparison

When two candidate properties offer the same roof orientation, real-world irradiance breaks the tie. Same hardware, same export format, comparable numbers across both sites in one week.
