EU cold chain & multimodal transport

Road, sea, rail, air: one unbroken record per pallet.

A vehicle recorder shows the air in one trailer. A Tempest on the pallet shows what the product experienced across every leg, warehouse and hand-off, with no network and no gap at the transfers. Whoever receives it taps once and has the whole journey.

The problem you actually have

Excursions happen at the seams: a pallet waiting on a dock between a truck and a ferry, a container held at a port, a cross-dock with the doors open. Each carrier's records cover its own leg in its own format, and nobody holds the continuous picture when a receiver asks what happened.

Why connected trackers struggle across modes

Cellular loggers lose signal at sea and in steel containers, may need to be switched off for air legs, and roam across national networks on a subscription. Exposensia sensors never broadcast and need no network, so the log runs the same in a reefer, a hold or a warehouse.

What quality teams get

The full time history at intervals from 2 minutes to 12 hours, minimum and maximum, time spent in each temperature band and mean kinetic temperature, tied to the sensor's serial number. Tap at receipt and export a CSV or PDF for the deviation file. Readings show in °C or °F.

The EU rules buyers ask about

Exposensia supports the documentation these frameworks call for. It does not replace your validated processes, and it is not a certified vehicle recorder.

EU GDP for medicines (2013/C 343/01)

Good Distribution Practice expects storage conditions to be kept within defined limits during transport and any deviation to be reported and investigated. A pallet-level log with mean kinetic temperature gives the distributor and the receiving pharmacist the same evidence for that investigation.

Quick-frozen food: Regulation (EC) 37/2005

Transport and storage of quick-frozen foods must be monitored with air-temperature recorders that meet EN 12830. Tempest is not certified to EN 12830; use it alongside your certified recorder as an independent product-level record that stays with the goods.

ATP for international perishables

The ATP agreement governs the insulated and refrigerated equipment used for international carriage of perishable food. It certifies the vehicle; a Tempest on the load shows what the product saw before loading, after unloading and at every transfer between ATP legs.

Try it: a refrigerated trailer

Your cursor is warm air at the loading doors. The dashed lines are the app's Refrigerated Pharma preset, 2–8 °C (35–46 °F). Let a pallet drift out of range, then tap Scan tags and read it on the phone, just as you would at receipt.

The record goes where the product goes.

No network, no subscription, no gap between carriers. Tap-to-read with any modern phone.
